8th-Grader Honored for Computer Game

Reynold Kroona, an eighth-grade student at C.E. Utt Middle School, was recently honored by the Tustin Unified School District Board of Trustees for designing a computer game that was published in a technology book.
The book, “Build Your Own PC Game in Seven Easy Steps,” features Kroona’s game, “Karate Man.”
The trustees also recognized Jesse DeWeese, a fifth-grader at Barbara Benson Elementary School, for winning first place in the National Children’s Dental Health Month Poster Contest. The winning entry will be featured in an upcoming issue of Impressions magazine.
