Endocare Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of medical devices to treat prostate disease reported a net loss of $578,000, or 9 cents a share, for the first quarter, which included a $325,000 one-time write-off of nonperforming assets. Revenue totaled $371,000. The company was spun off from Medstone International and began trading in the over-the-counter market in February.
