Quaker to Sell Aunt Jemima, Celeste Products: Van de Kamp’s Inc., the nation’s No. 1 seller of frozen seafood, will acquire Quaker Oats Co.’s Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast products and Celeste frozen pizza products. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Chicago-based Quaker said the sale does not include the Aunt Jemima trademark, which will continue to be used on Quaker’s pancake mix, syrup and corn products and will be licensed to Van de Kamp. Aunt Jemima’s frozen breakfast goods--waffles, pancakes and French toast--have been on the market since 1965. Under the deal, St. Louis-based Van de Kamp’s will buy the Celeste frozen pizza trademark, related assets and inventories and the Jackson, Tenn., plant employing 450.
