Why Were Full-Time Child Rearers Ignored?

“Working Girls (and Boys)” (April 26) got to me. Though it may be a good idea to take one’s child to work, how about a hearty mention for those who choose to either: (1) work from the home/office or (2) do not work outside of the home--that is, are rearing children on a full-time basis?
Why didn’t you mention those two possibilities in your article? It makes those of us (work-from-homers) feel like the work we perform from home doesn’t “measure up” to working away from the home structure. Why not mention in your article about those men and women who choose to stay home and make a real difference in the life of a child?
