Doubles Victories Move Aliso Niguel Into First Round

Aliso Niguel won all nine doubles sets and beat Foothill, 14-4, in a Southern Section boys’ tennis Division II wild-card match Friday at Aliso Niguel.
Aliso Niguel moves into the first round and plays at Servite at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Joost Hol swept, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1, in singles for Foothill, which finished 10-9.
In other Division II matches:
Canyon 15, Kennedy 3--Alex Chen swept in singles, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, for host Canyon (11-8), which plays Tuesday at San Marino.
Laguna Hills 16, Saddleback 2--Freshman Zac Marshall won in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for visiting Laguna Hills (10-7), which plays Tuesday at Sunny Hills.
El Dorado 13, Troy 5--Michael Peng swept in singles, 6-0, 6-3, 6-0, for host El Dorado (17-4), which advanced to play Tuesday at Garden Grove.
