Megan Pricer of Moreno Valley Canyon Springs is dominating Riverside county hitters. The junior pitcher, who struck out 346 batters last year, has used her 65-mph riseball to strike out 299 batters in 169 innings this season. She has given up two earned runs and has an 0.08 earned-run average, and has three perfect games. . . . San Clemente had to forfeit 15 victories after school officials discovered the team used an academically ineligible player. The Tritons (2-23) were in second place in the South Coast League with 6-2 record. . . . Senior pitcher Jennifer Tolton has helped Corona Centennial (21-1-3) to a No. 3 ranking in Southern Section Division IV coaches’ poll. Tolton, who has 19 victories and an ERA of 0.20, has not given up an earned run in league play. . . . Goleta Dos Pueblos is seeking its first playoff appearance since 1987. The Chargers (14-10) are in a third-place tie with Ventura Buena for the Channel League’s final playoff berth. Sophomore pitcher Marie Gensler has three no-hitters and has an ERA of 1.43. Junior shortstop Nicole Sanchez, an All-Southern Section forward on the basketball team, has hit safely in 14 consecutive games and is batting .333 with 14 RBIs in her first year of high school play.
