Nation IN BRIEF : NATIONWIDE : NoDoz Put in Some Bottles of Excedrin
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Some consumers who expect to take aspirin-free Excedrin might be getting a hefty dose of caffeine instead because of a manufacturing mix-up. Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. confirmed that a mistake caused an undisclosed number of bottles of Aspirin-Free Excedrin Extra Strength Geltabs containing 40 pills to be filled with the company’s NoDoz caplets instead. The pills are easily distinguishable, a spokesman said. The gel caps are red and round and say “AF Excedrin” in small white letters. The NoDoz caplets are white and oblong and bear the word “NoDoz.”
