A Wells Fargo Bank in Camarillo was robbed Wednesday afternoon of an undisclosed amount of money.
A man entered the bank at 425 Arneill Road at 4:38 p.m. and gave a teller a note demanding cash, said Sgt. Ken Cozzens of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
No weapon was seen in the bank, and after receiving the money the robber ran south, entering a Kinko’s copy store at 393 Arneill Road.
Confronted in the store, the robber displayed a handgun, ran out and got into a white sedan with darkened windows that was waiting in the parking lot, Cozzens said.
Deputies assisted by a Sheriff’s Department helicopter searched the area without success.
The robber is described as a Latino man in his late 30s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 200 pounds, with dark hair, possibly a wig. He was wearing a long-sleeved tan shirt and blue jeans.
