Historical Society Plans Old Town Tour
The city’s first church, antique cars and homes dating as far back as the 1880s will be part of the Tustin Area Historical Society’s walking tour of the Old Town neighborhood Saturday.
Six homes and two churches will be open, staffed by docents from the society. Cost for the one-mile tour is $8, which includes a map and histories of the sites.
Among the attractions will be an 1885 Greek revival house, a 1900 colonial revival house, an 1887 redwood cottage and the Advent Christian Church, built in 1881.
A crafts boutique will be at Stevens Square, a garden area surrounding the 1887 Stevens House, and several businesses in turn-of-the-century buildings are planning special events.
Tickets will be on sale at the Tustin Area Museum, 395 El Camino Real. Information: (714) 731-5701.
