Fee Increases Get Tentative Approval
The City Council this week gave tentative approval for increases in some fees charged by the planning and building division, public works and other municipal departments.
City Administrator Robert D’Amato said Placentia has not revised its fee schedule since 1991 to help local businesses weather difficult economic times. Even with the increases proposed, he said, “we’re still subsidizing the rates.”
In public works, the majority of fees would be raised to reflect a 13% cost of living increase since the last revision. Other rates would rise more modestly.
