Robbers Take $100,000 in Jewelry
TARZANA — Robbers who held up a man in a restaurant Tuesday night made off with $100,000 worth of jewelry in a briefcase, police said.
The robbery occurred at 7:30 p.m. in a restaurant on Ventura Boulevard, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Dan Mastrow of the West Valley Division.
He said the man attended a meeting at the restaurant to show the jewelry and was held up by four or five robbers who fled in two cars.
Mastrow declined to give further information and said the incident was under investigation by West Valley detectives.
