Groups Call for Boycott on Mitsubishi: The National Organization for Women, the Rainbow Coalition and Operation PUSH called for a boycott of Mitsubishi products--particularly automobiles--and said they plan to start picketing some car dealerships to protest the Normal, Ill.-based company’s handling of allegations it permitted sexual harassment and discrimination, and race discrimination at its auto plant in Normal. Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America initially embarked on a strategy to oppose the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which filed a lawsuit April 9, including financing an employee protest.
