Titans Sign 3 Basketball Players
FULLERTON — Cal State Fullerton has completed its men’s basketball recruiting with the signing of three more players.
The Titans’ latest commitments came from Josh Leighton of Sacramento High, Matt Caldwell of Peoria (Ariz.) High and Craig Whitehead of Belleville (Ill.) Area Community College.
Caldwell is a 6-9 center who averaged 22 points and 14 rebounds last season. Leighton is a 6-5 guard-forward who averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. Whitehead, a 6-6 guard-forward, averaged 13 points and five rebounds.
Ike Harmon, a 6-7 forward from Santa Ana Valley High, signed with Fullerton, and the Titans signed Dane Plock, a 6-1 guard from Estancia, in the early signing period in November.
“I think we’ve signed some good players who will help continue building our program,” Coach Bob Hawking said Monday. “We’ve tried to put emphasis on high school players who will be with us four or five years.”
