Digital Equipment Unveils Line of Mid-Priced Servers: The move by Digital Equipment Corp. is a bid to capture market share from competitors such as Hewlett-Packard Co. The new Alpha Server 4100 machines run on Digital’s Alpha chip, considered the world’s most powerful.
