Bodies of Mother, Daughter Found Inside Burbank Home
A Burbank mother and daughter were found dead Thursday afternoon in a single-family house on Brighton Street, police said.
The bodies of the two women, 66 and 42, were discovered between 2 and 3 p.m. by a friend of the landlord, said Lt. Larry Koch of the Burbank Police Department.
Koch said the women had come to the United States from Japan about 10 years ago, but he would not reveal their names nor how they died.
It had not been determined whether the women committed suicide or were victims of a homicide, Koch said.
“It is being handled as a death investigation. If it was definitely a suicide, we would probably call it that,” Koch said.
Although police said it was unclear how long the women had been living in Burbank, Yuki Nakahara, who rented a room in the same house, said they had been living there two weeks.
