Watchdog Group to Sponsor Forum

The relationship between elected officials and government staff will be the topic of a forum Wednesday sponsored by the Committees of Correspondence, a citizens watchdog group.
Anaheim Councilman Bob Zemel will give a talk titled “Do Council Members Get Co-Opted by Staff?”
He will also field questions and comments from the audience.
Municipal Judge Gary P. Ryan will speak on how the county’s 1994 bankruptcy filing has affected local trial courts, and Rosemarie Avila, a trustee with the Santa Ana Unified School District, will discuss the future of public schools.
The session will be at 7 p.m. at Orange City Hall, 300 E. Chapman Ave., Orange.
