Hicks Wins Twice at Speedway Racing
COSTA MESA — Gary Hicks of Riverside was a double winner at the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Hicks won the four-lap scratch main event and the eight-lap handicap main.
In the scratch main, Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second, followed by John Aden of Apple Valley, Jerry Black of San Bernardino and Shawn McConnell of Brea.
Oxley was second in the handicap main. Steve Lucero of Riverside was third and McConnell fourth.
