Artunian’s focus has helped the Warriors become one of the top teams in the county. “If there’s a possibility of him winning a match,” Woodbridge Coach Joan Willett said, “he’ll do it.” Artunian showed his mettle in the Warriors’ match with then second-ranked Dana Hills, beating previously undefeated Brandon Fallon, 7-6. Artunian also won 6-4, 6-0 in the Warriors’ 10-8 victory. He won 6-0, 6-4, 6-4 in a 15-3 victory over Newport Harbor and 6-1, 6-0, 6-1 in a 17-1 victory over El Toro.

* Mater Dei, junior. Hit a two-run home run in a 14-3 victory over Dana Hills and two two-run homers and pitched six innings for his fourth victory in a 11-5 victory over the Dolphins.

* Laguna Hills, senior. Hit two home runs and struck out nine in five innings in a 14-2 victory over Laguna Beach.
