Blood Donors Offered Medical Checkups

Anyone who volunteers to give blood at a Cypress dental office today can get free dental and medical checkups.
Professionals at the Cypress Dental Group hope the offer from local dentists, chiropractors, foot specialists and masseuses in exchange for blood will encourage donors. The health fair and blood drive will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the dental group’s offices at 9922 Walker St.
“This is our first year,” said Gabe Ramirez, the office manager. “If it works well, we will make it an annual event.” In anticipation of a large turnout, Ramirez recommends that anyone interested in a cleaning call in advance to make an appointment.
