Lawsuit Claims Tooth Was Found Inside Burrito

LA HABRA — A mother and son alleging to have found a rotten tooth in a burrito purchased at the Green Burrito restaurant in La Habra have sued for an unspecified amount of money in Orange County Superior Court.
Irene and David Salvanera of La Habra allege in the suit that David bit into what he thought was a bone, said David Nisson, attorney representing the plaintiffs.
“But when he pulled it out of his mouth and looked at it, he discovered that it was a human tooth with a cavity in it,” Nisson said, “and it was not one of his teeth.”
The lawsuit names the restaurant at 911 W. Whittier Blvd. and its parent company, G.B. Foods Inc. of Newport Beach.
Nisson said he and his clients have been trying to negotiate an out-of-court settlement but were rejected in a Jan. 29 letter from lawyers for Green Burrito.
Green Burrito representatives declined to comment on the case, citing pending litigation.
