Dolco Profits Leap; Net Income Rises to $3.2 Million

Dolco Packaging Corp. in Studio City reported that its fourth-quarter profits more than doubled largely because of tax benefits, while the company’s net income jumped 44% for all of 1995.
The company, which makes plastic packaging products, said that its fourth-quarter net income rose to $3.2 million, compared to $1.5 million a year earlier as the company utilized $1.5 million in tax benefits.
Sales in the fourth quarter rose 19% to $21.6 million, up from $18.2 million in the same period a year earlier.
For all of last year, Dolco saw its net income climb to $6.8 million, up from $4.8 million in 1994, while its sales rose 22% in 1995 to $81.5 million, up from $67.0 million a year earlier.
