Man With Alleged Bomb Robs Bank
SANTA PAULA — A man who claimed he had a bomb robbed a Citizens State Bank in Santa Paula at 11 a.m. Friday, the FBI said.
The man--described as Latino, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 and about 160 pounds--never showed the teller a bomb, authorities said.
The robber fled on foot from the bank branch at 537 W. Harvard St., and may have then driven away in a green Toyota pickup, authorities said. It was Ventura County’s seventh bank robbery this year. There were no injuries.
