Youth / * News for the 18-and-under crowd : Bank Donates $10,000 to Orangewood Home

Orangewood Children’s Foundation has received $10,000 for projects and equipment at the Orangewood Children’s Home for abused and abandoned youth.
Officials of the Orange emergency shelter said the facility has been hard hit by budget cuts in the past year. In the wake of its 1994 bankruptcy, Orange County, which operates and maintains the home, postponed a number of capital improvement projects.
The donation from First Interstate Bank Foundation will help pay for some of those projects, officials said.
Orangewood serves more than 3,000 children each year.
