Ignacio, Nguyen Sweep for Garden Grove Tennis

Andro Ignacio swept at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-4, 6-3, as host Garden Grove beat Los Alamitos, 13-8, in a nonleague boys’ tennis match.

Tuan Nguyen also swept, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2, for the Argonauts (2-0).

Santa Margarita 13, San Clemente 5--Andrew Tsu swept in singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, for host Santa Margarita (1-1). Jason Gavilan and Marc Takemiya swept in doubles, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2, for San Clemente (0-3).

Huntington Beach 9, Estancia 9 (Huntington Beach wins on games, 75-74)--Brett Hankey swept at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2, 6-0, for Huntington Beach (1-1).

In nonleague golf:

Cypress 218, Edison 225--Eric Wang was medalist for Cypress (2-1) for the second time this season, shooting three-over-par 38, at Cypress Golf Club.

San Clemente 441, Newport Harbor 451--Jason Gross was medalist, shooting 79 at Big Canyon for San Clemente (1-0).

In nonleague boys’ track:

Westminster 81, Pacifica 45--Rickey Tilgman of Westminster (1-0) won the 200, 400 and was on the winning 400-relay team.

In nonleague girls’ track:

Marina 95, Capistrano Valley 41--Sonja Bryant won the long jump, high jump, shot put and discus for Marina.

In nonleague boys’ volleyball:

Corona del Mar 3, Costa Mesa 0--Brian Coleman had 12 kills for visiting Corona del Mar (1-0), which won, 15-0, 15-0, 15-4.
