San Bernardino Pacific Ousts Tustin, 56-54

San Bernardino Pacific took advantage of two steals in the final minute and eliminated Tustin, 56-54, in a Division II-A quarterfinal Friday night at San Gorgonio High.
Leading 52-51 with just over three minutes remaining, Tustin went into a four-corner offense, but Pacific’s Ryan Nece stole the ball with 54 seconds remaining and scored on a layup while drawing a foul. Nece made the free throw, putting Pacific (24-4) up by two.
Tustin (25-4) took over again, looking to tie, but David Lalazarian had the ball stolen by J.J. Jefferson, who was fouled with 27 seconds remaining. Jefferson made both free throws.
