Saddleback Finishes Regular Season 27-0

MISSION VIEJO — Saddleback completed an undefeated regular season with a 76-51 victory over visiting Riverside in an Orange Empire Conference women’s basketball game Friday.
Shanna Renken had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Saddleback (27-0, 14-0), which is ranked second in the state. Ventura, which is also undefeated, has held the No. 1 spot all season.
The 27 victories is a single-season record for Saddleback.
Maureen Skehan had 14 points and Cha-Ron Walker 13 for Saddleback, which used a 10-0 run early to open a 20-11 lead and never trailed.
Southern California playoff pairings will be announced Tuesday and the playoffs start Friday and Saturday.
