Lincoln Already Has a Holiday

Re “In the Corner of a Freedom Fighter,” Jan. 15): If your reporter is correct in stating that some of the residents of New Hampshire, which does not honor the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth, would rather have a holiday honoring Abraham Lincoln, they are in for a cutting-edge news flash.
If these highly educated, insightful arbiters of public opinion will check their calendars (that’s the big square paper with numbers on it hanging on the wall) for Feb. 12, they will note that President Lincoln’s birthday is already a national holiday.
