A robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Thousand Oaks bank Thursday, the FBI reported.
It was the fourth bank robbery of the year in Ventura County and investigators believe that the man responsible for Thursday’s holdup was involved in two other bank robberies in Thousand Oaks, FBI Special Agent Gary Auer said.
Auer said the robber entered the First Interstate Bank at 3965 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. about 10:45 a.m. and handed a teller a note: “This is a robbery. I have a gun.”
The robber fled on foot. He is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds. He is believed to be between 35 and 40 years old and was wearing jeans and a black shirt. He had brown hair and a brown mustache.
