The Cowboys had all that beef up front and were supposed to be able to steamroll the smaller and lighter Steeler defense, but they managed only 254 yards in offense.
“Everything I heard this past week was that their offensive line was going to crush us,” said Kevin Greene, Steeler linebacker. “And they didn’t. It went the other way. Our defensive line dominated. Our linebackers dominated.
“Everybody had this idea that Emmitt Smith was going to run all over us. It didn’t happen. I’m not sure there are a lot of things you can take out of a loss like this, but we came out fighting.”
