Forum Derails Plan to Launch Fullerton Club

One casualty of the new concert competition in Orange County is Linda Jemison’s plan to open a new club in the Fullerton area.
Jemison, much admired for supporting the local rock scene as the owner of Linda’s Doll Hut, a tiny Anaheim club, says she will stick to that instead of opening a larger place that could run into booking conflicts with the Coach House and the Galaxy, the Freedman Forum or the new Glass House in Pomona.
“I don’t want to be in the middle of a brawl,” she said. “I’m just going to stand back to watch the fireworks.”
Without a larger club to run, Jemison said she will put her extra energies into her band-management company, Dragon Lady Entertainment. She will also begin to co-promote some shows in a bigger venue, Club 369 in Fullerton, starting Feb. 23 with a concert by the Paladins.
