Panorama City : Man, 23, Dies After Drive-By Shooting
A 23-year-old man died after being shot several times in the chest during a drive-by shooting in Panorama City early Friday, police said.
Benito Soto was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he later died, police said.
Soto was standing on the street corner behind the apartment complex where he lived in the 14600 block of Rayen Street about 4 a.m. when several shots were fired from a passing light blue car, Det. Stephen Fisk of the Van Nuys station said. Police said the shooting was gang-related.
