Boy to Be Charged in Teacher’s Death

ST. LOUIS — A 9-year-old boy will be charged with assaulting a substitute teacher whom he punched in the chest, triggering her fatal heart attack, police said Friday.
Although an autopsy performed on teacher Nedra Morris, 51, found she suffered from an existing heart condition, St. Louis Medical Examiner Michael Graham ruled her Oct. 10 death a homicide, saying the child’s actions caused her heart to give out.
