At the 1994 Orange County Championships, Kroninger finished well off the pace in 20 minutes 20 seconds. This year she helped the Dolphins, ranked fourth in the county, upset the top three teams and win the team sweepstakes title. Teammate Sydney Leonard, who finished third in 18:36, and Kroninger (fourth in 18:37) led Dana Hills. “She’s been improving gradually all year,” Coach Glenn Forster said. “All the hard work just showed up in that race.”
Cross-country
Jessica Corbin
* Irvine, senior. Finished 11th in the team sweepstakes race at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational, running the three-mile course in 18 minutes 29 seconds to help her team to sixth.
Tennis

* Corona del Mar. Each won three singles sets, including narrow victories over Natalie Exon, in the Sea Kings’ 11-7 Sea View League victory over then-No. 1 Woodbridge.
Volleyball
Taryn Catlin
* Sunny Hills, senior. Had 50 assists, 10 digs and nine kills in the Lancers’ five-game Freeway League victory over La Habra and 30 assists, six kills and three blocks in a three-game victory over Sonora.
Erika Tillman
* Dana Hills, senior. Had 27 kills and 26 digs in a five-game South Coast League victory over Mater Dei and 14 kills and 13 digs in a three-game sweep of Capistrano Valley.
