Saugus 47, Burbank 13--Kevin Carrasco completed nine of 15 passes for 135 yards and three touchdwons for the Centurions (4-3, 2-0) at Burroughs.

Mark Pecaro rushed for 79 yards in 14 carries and one touchdown for Saugus and added a 24-yard pass reception. Pecaro’s six-yard run capped a seven-play, 56-yard drive which gave Saugus a 6-0 lead in its first possession.

Errol Bowen returned the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for the Bulldogs first score. Saugus held Burbank (0-7, 0-1) to minus-12 total yards in the first half and 98 for the game.

Backup quarterback Chris Kobe completed four of nine passes for 84 yards for Saugus, including a 49-yard touchdown pass to Gregg Johnson. He also scored the Centurions’ final touchdown on an 11-yard run.
