ATLANTA — Daniel Laperriere scored three goals for Atlanta and the Ice Dogs failed to convert on a last-minute chance for a tie in a 5-4 loss to the Knights Saturday night in the International Hockey League.
A four-minute major penalty to Atlanta’s Bob Halkidis for cross checking Jim Nesich with less than two minutes remaining set up the final attempt.
With the goalie pulled for two extra skaters, Dwayne Norris’ shot went wide and time expired.
