L.A. THEATER, CONT.
Until we embrace the writer, the wealth of theatrical activity, the diversity, i.e. the many voices struggling to get heard, produced, we will always talk about the theater we deserve. We must talk about the theater we have and build a fire, conversation and movement under it.
We are sitting on a cultural gold mine and do not treat it with the respect we do our other entertainment exports. Production, marketing and promotional capital injection is needed to stimulate one of the largest industry pools we have in the city.
Yes, we have what we deserve, because we do not truly support what we say makes us the city of the 21st Century.
