SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP : HIGH DESERT LEAGUE
Bishop 39, Paraclete 36--Jereme Tetrick’s four-yard touchdown run capped a 90-yard drive and gave Bishop (4-2, 1-0) the go-ahead score with 1:10 remaining at Bishop.
Paraclete (3-3, 0-1) went ahead, 36-32, on a four-yard touchdown run by Sal Iabichella, who rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns in only four carries.
On Paraclete’s final drive, the Spirits drove from their own 24 to the Bishop 21, but a pass was picked off by Adam Scarbrough with 13 seconds to play.
NONLEAGUE
Carpinteria 28, Nordhoff 0--Douglas Burrell and Jeff Shaw each rushed for two touchdowns for Carpinteria at Nordoff.
Greg Coleman led Nordhoff (3-3) with 92 yards in 17 carries.
Nordhoff rushed for 189 yards in 40 carries, but passed for only seven yards.
Carpinteria (4-2) gained 302 yards.
