A 31-year-old construction worker has been charged with possessing a makeshift bomb and methamphetamine for sale, police said Friday.
John Frank Cammarello III was arrested at his home Tuesday in the 4800 block of Cartlen Drive, where investigators seized several ounces of methamphetamine and an explosive device, police said.
“It looked homemade,” said Corinne Loomis, a spokeswoman for Placentia police.
Narcotics officials began investigating Cammarello after several reports of drug activity at his home, police said.
The two-month-long investigation was completed Thursday after the district attorney’s office filed felony charges against Cammarello.
He was held in lieu of $25,000 bail, police said.
