ABC was planning to show Game 1 of the National League championship series between the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves throughout California today at 5 p.m., but because of reaction Monday, a number of ABC stations, among them Channel 7 in Los Angeles, switched to the American League series between Cleveland and Seattle. Affiliates in San Francisco and Sacramento also switched.
KMAX-FM (107.1), L.A.’s affiliate for CBS radio’s baseball coverage, will carry the National League broadcasts as long as television continues with the American League.
