Canyon 37, Alemany 0--Shaun Kelso rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns in 26 carries for the Cowboys at Canyon.
The Canyon defense had five sacks, two nterceptions and held Alemany (1-3) to 86 total yards.
Kelso’s two-yard run gave Canyon (2-2) a 7-0 lead with 6:52 left in the first quarter. Sam Morfin set up the score with a 57-yard punt return to the Alemany 13.
An interception by Abe Montejano at the Indian 46 led to a 20-yard touchdown run by Morfin, which put Canyon ahead 14-0 in the second quarter.
The Cowboys made the score 30-0 when Montejano blocked a punt and teammate Sean Cogswell returned it 20 yards for a touchdown as the third quarter ended.
