ORANGE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PREP EXTRA : Felix’s Kickoff Return Paces Estancia’s Victory Over Ocean View
HUNTINGTON BEACH — Chris Felix returned the second-half kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown to help Estancia gain a 21-13 nonleague victory over Ocean View Friday night at Huntington Beach High.
The Eagles, who improved their record to 4-0, were able to increase their lead to 21-7 later in the second half on a one-yard touchdown run by Bachy Gonzalez.
Gonzalez finished with 125 yards in 25 carries and sophomore running back James Dawkins, who scored on a 79-yard run in the first quarter to give Estancia a 7-0 lead, finished with 102 yards in seven carries.
Ocean View quarterback Jeff Taylor got Ocean View on the scoreboard with a 10-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Taylor completed 10 of 21 passes for 187 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown pass to Jared DeLachica in the fourth quarter.
DeLachica led all receivers with four pass receptions for 114 yards.
