A fire that started in a portable storage shed Friday caused $10,000 in damage to a fourplex when it spread into one apartment’s attic, fire officials said.
About 15 firefighters from Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley responded to the 7:25 a.m. fire in the 17500 block of Jefferson Lane, Huntington Beach Fire Department spokeswoman Martha Werth said.
All the residents were safely evacuated and no one was injured in the fire, which took firefighters 15 minutes to control, Werth said.
The fire’s cause is under investigation, she said.
