Singer Seeks to Buy Stake in Sony Music Publishing: Michael Jackson is in the early stages of talks to buy 50% of Sony Music Publishing, the Sony Corp. arm that owns and administers song copyrights, the trade paper Hollywood Reporter said Friday. Jackson would merge his ATV Music Publishing company, which owns Beatles, Elvis Presley and Little Richard copyrights, with Sony Music Publishing, the paper said.
