SANTA PAULA : Teen Night Spot Opens at Boys & Girls Club

A new nighttime teen-agers-only club has opened Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Paula.
Club UNO (Ultimate Night Out) offers sports, movies, dances and a place to socialize for teen-agers age 13 to 18. The club is open from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Thursdays and from 7 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Teen-agers are able to participate in various activities, including hiking, volleyball, basketball, Ping-Pong, billiards, movies, dances, field trips, camp-outs, barbecues and a trip to a TV show taping.
Membership sign-ups are offered at Club UNO and the Boys & Girls Club and are free of charge through Dec. 31. In 1996, memberships will cost $12 per year.
No one under 13 nor over 18 will be eligible for membership.
Activities will be conducted in a safe environment under the direction of trained staff members.
Club UNO, created through federal Community Development Block Grant funds administered by the city of Santa Paula, is at the Boys & Girls Club, 1400 E. Harvard Blvd.
