Brentwood Academy, one of the Southland’s dominant eight-man football teams, added three players and beat 11-man Capistrano Valley Christian, 18-8, on Sept. 9. It was a glimpse of the future at Brentwood, undefeated in the last five regular seasons at eight-man football and moving up to 11-man next year, despite a roster of fewer than 20 players. . . . Beverly Hills wide receiver Brandon Nash caught six passes for 137 yards and returned a kickoff 80 yards with 10 seconds to play for the winning touchdown in a 27-22 victory over Pasadena. . . . Larry Williams and Aaron Golding were added to the Hamilton football staff as assistant coaches. . . . Josh Watts, the 1994 Frontier League MVP, scored six goals in Malibu’s 13-11 water polo victory over Agoura last week. . . . Jama Adams was named MVP of the Westridge Volleyball tournament after leading Immaculate Heart to the title. . . . Mike Griswold was named athletic director at Santa Monica.
