Singer Kenny Loggins will help promote a food drive Sept. 26 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza to raise money for the food bank Manna.
The Food Drive Against Hunger will take place near the plaza’s parking structure before one of Loggins’ three concerts. The Newbury Park Rotary Club, which is sponsoring the event, is asking all ticket-holders to bring canned goods and other supplies with them to the concert.
The drive also is open to those who are not attending the concert. In addition to canned food, Manna will accept tools, small appliances, cleaning supplies and household items.
Donations also may be dropped off at The Home Depot, 500 N. Ventu Park Road, and Mrs. Gooch’s Whole Foods Market, 451 Avenida De Los Arboles, in Thousand Oaks.
The drive at the arts plaza runs from 4 to 8 p.m. For more information or to donate foods call 449-2453.
