Let’s Save the County From Urban Sprawl
* Are we Orange County yet? You need to ask yourself this every morning because one day soon we will be.
Are you seeing farmland disappear before your very eyes? Are you seeing it disappear as you creep along Ventura County highways that are becoming more and more congested with each sunrise?
Are you reading of ways to help farmers afford to keep farming? Are you reading of creative and daring plans by developers to revitalize dying and decayed areas within the urban limits of Ventura County’s cities? Or are you reading of more and more massive assaults on the open places?
If you care, will you help the “Save the Oxnard Plain” petition drive, while there is yet a dim hope? Surely if man can walk on the moon, he can find a way to preserve one of the finest agricultural areas in the world.
