Village Christian 34, St. Genevieve 8--Aaron Funk rushed for 108 yards in 19 carries and scored twice to lead the Crusaders (2-0) at Kennedy High.

Mike Santiago caught two touchdown passes and had six receptions for 85 yards. Chris Colemen completed five of eight for 58 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Matt Pike took over in the second half and completed six of 11 for 81 yards.

For St. Genevieve (0-2), Vince Pisaro completed 12 of 23 for 153 yards. Fernando Arboleda had nine catches for 128 yards.
