Monroe 16, Wilson 13--Trailing, 13-8, with less than four minutes remaining at home, Monroe (2-0) scored the go-ahead touchdown on a two-yard sneak by quarterback Aaron Arnold. Jason Anderson ran in for a two-point conversion as the Vikings (2-0) won at home.
Arlin Slayton of Wilson rushed for 138 yards in 22 carries. In the third quarter, he gained 52 yards on a drive that culminated with a seven-yard scoring pass from Brian McGann (six of 17 for 84 yards) to Luis Sanchez that gave the Mules a 13-8 lead.
