Estancia 12, Cypress 7--Frough Jahid recovered a fumble by Bobby Brito midway through the fourth quarter and quarterback Jeff Perry scored on a one-yard sneak with 3:39 left to give the Eagles the victory at Newport Harbor High.

Despite 150 yards rushing, Estancia trailed, 7-6, at halftime. Cypress scored on a 37-yard run by Brito with 11 seconds left in first quarter.

The Eagles (1-0) came back with a three-yard touchdown run by Bachy Gonzalez in the second quarter, but the two-point conversion run failed.
